Just renewed my domain package for another 3 years, giving this another look. Original intent is/was to make a band page for my virtual band Lost Skies. A somewhat grandiose project, I wanted to style it like a mid-2010 band page. Discography, media/songs, and about each member… Probably some additional projects listed. Stuff like that!
Since the pandemic lockdown, I found all my creative energy sapped away. Anything that demands effort on my part, I have a very hard time doing- nigh insurmountable. I’ve finally started therapy since I’d broken down and burned out in late May… I’m not sure it’s helping yet, but I think that’s because I’ve yet to actually start implementing the changes to my days as was the plan. Right now, I am to try to make a small effort every day, when I feel able. Something like 5 minutes: go for a walk outside, reach out to family, record a musical idea, doodle something. Through making small efforts will I find myself with greater capacity to make bigger efforts. I’m a production-minded individual: too focused on what I can or should provide, on end goals. I try to skip to the end, but naturally, one does not simply skip the process and so I must reacquaint myself with it!
I’d actually meant to type only the header caption as a means of testing the blog function of the site, but then the rest came spilling out as is my wont. Something I constantly need to remind myself of however is the “Talk is cheap.” Let’s see if I can turn some of it into action!
